Thank you for your interest in publishing with us. We are looking for piece of works that are in line with our vision of telling stories that redefine the evolving history, culture and people of the Niger Delta.

Guidelines for Submissions

To submit your work, send an email to, with the subject heading of your piece – “Title of your work” and your name.

We are currently accepting submissions for fiction and creative nonfiction, book reviews, and essays.

We do not accept unsolicited submissions. We accept simultaneous submissions but do well to inform us when your work is accepted elsewhere.

Fiction: No more than 2,500 words.

Book review: No more than 1500 words.

Opinion pieces, essays, and articles: No more than 1500 words.

Also include a short bio, a photograph of yourself and your social media handles.

Short stories: We publish short stories that do not follow the one-dimensional narrative but expose a deeper and original image of people, portraying characters of Niger Delta origin, either set outside or within the Niger Delta. We accept stories that are successful in exposing the rich cultural heritage as well as the experiences of the Niger Delta people. We accept stories that are original, provocative and evoking emotion.

Poetry:  We publish poetry exploring themes that tell a story or multiple stories about the Niger Delta. We accept poems of any style, form or length.

We accept not more than three poems at a time.

All poetry submissions should be titled, in one document and typed in Times New Roman, 12 point font.



Nunritecine is a digital storytelling platform on the Niger Delta exploring, expressing and redefining identities and stories through literary, art, culture and film lenses. We are a community of young and devoted creative artists passionate about distorting narratives and changing perceptions about the Niger Delta.
